Finance Internship Program - Summer 2026

Key Role Details

This is a full-time paid internship program spanning ten weeks from June through August 2026. Participation in the internship requires that you are located in the continental United States with in-person attendance in our McLean offices, in accordance with Capital One's hybrid working model, for the duration of the program. Interns will be evaluated for a full-time position within our Finance Rotation Program, with a start date in July 2027 following the completion of the internship.

At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization, or offer any immigration related support for this position (i.e. H1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, TN, E-2, E-3, L-1 and O-1, or any EADs or other forms of work authorization that require immigration support from an employer).

Basic Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher with an expectation that you will complete your most recent full-time degree program by July 2027 or earlier.
• Must be continuing in the same course of study of your most recent full-time degree program following completion of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering or relevant major.

Your projects may include:

• Driving new insights and efficiencies through specific project-based work using data visualizations tools, and data manipulation / modeling skills (i.e. Python, SQL)
• Analyzing key business drivers such as customer and asset volume, attrition, losses and margins
• Improving forecasting models through the analysis of key business trends
• Assisting in the filing of externally reported financial statements

• A demonstrated interest in financial management, technology aptitude and digital learning
• Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
• Desire to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment

This is a paid internship. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $97,000 - $97,000 for Finance Intern Program

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
