SAIC is seeking rising juniors or seniors to join the Ground-Based Radar Maintenance and Sustainment Services (GMASS) for the summer of 2026, GMASS has a Technical Writer Internship position available. These interns will be performing technical documentation support on a government radar system. The position under this job requisition will be in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Roles and responsibilities potentially include:

\n
• Work side-by-side with subject matter experts to document and update legacy hardware and software system's technical orders and engineering drawings.
\n
• Review and assess requirements, diagrams, and documents.
\n
• Learn to utilize Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Jira, and Confluence.
\n

\n Areas of Technical Interest:

\n
• Knowledge of drafting tools.
\n
• Knowledge of Technical Documentation.
\n
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.
\n
• Desire to cross collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
\n

\n Qualifications

\n
• Pursuit of BA or BS in Technical Writing, English, Communications or other applicable degree program.
\n
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
\n
• **Must be willing and able to obtain a Secret security clearance. NOTE: Federal law requires U.S. citizenship to obtain a clearance.
\n

Target salary range: Up to $40,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
