Our client is seeking a Project Coordinator to work in their Astoria, Queens office location. There is parking onsite! *Must be able to drive to their office.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Support & Coordination

  • Assist Project and Development Managers in coordinating timelines, deliverables, subcontractors, and consultants.
  • Track project milestones, critical path items, and deadlines across multiple job sites.
  • Support project planning by maintaining schedules, logs, and site documentation.

Communication & Stakeholder Management - Serve as a communication hub between design teams, contractors, consultants, municipal authorities, and internal stakeholders.

Procurement & Vendor Coordination - Support procurement of materials, equipment, and professional services by issuing POs, tracking deliveries, and managing vendor relationships.

Problem-Solving & Field Support - Monitor project risks, delays, or site issues and escalate them to the appropriate parties for resolution.

Compliance & Documentation - Ensure documentation meets regulatory and company standards, including contracts, permits, insurance certificates, and safety records.

Tracking & Reporting - Prepare regular project status reports including schedule updates, budget tracking, and variance analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Real Estate Development, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: 1–4 years in a project coordination or administrative support role within construction, real estate development, or general contracting.
  • Skills:
  • Working knowledge of construction workflows, terminology, and documentation.
  • Familiarity with plans, permits, contracts, and construction sequencing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), and project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project, or similar).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience coordinating multiple projects across various construction phases.
  • Familiarity with permitting and development processes within municipal jurisdictions.
  • Experience working with budgets, change orders, and subcontractor contracts.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and construction compliance requirements.
  • Certification in construction/project management (CAPM, PMP, or equivalent) is a plus.

The annual base salary range is $65,000-$90,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things
