Job Description

Summary The fabricator is responsible for performing multiple tasks that involve the manipulation of raw materials under guidance of leadership. Understands safety is a priority and observes/practices all safety procedures and practices to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required. Encouraged to routinely recommend changes to improve safety procedures. Fabricators responds attentively to training from leadership or more senior fabricators to increase own knowledge of work processes.  Responsibilities Tasks in assembly plant include, but our not limited to:Manual SawsRelated DiesParts InstallationSash AssemblyFrame AssemblyTasks in glass operations include, but our not limited to: Washer OperationVinyl Application and TrimmingOperator the SeamerClean the WasherChange Seamer BeltsOff Loading of CartsGrid ApplicationCappingChanging SpacerPress Oven OperationInspectionEssential FunctionsAbility to complete all tasks within required position capably and efficiently.Understands and promotes team and company culture.Understands and follows company policies, such as attendance and conduct.Embraces team member’s role in profit sharing and makes positive contributions.Demonstrates teamwork skills and gives best effort under all circumstances.Consistently focuses on assigned task both physically and mentally.Avoids and discourages excessive idle conversations during non-break times. Occasional lifting up to 90 lbs. Frequent repetitive hand/foot/head/neck movements required Other: Temperatures will vary. Dusty and noisy environment when operating machines and tools. Safety shoes, ear and eye protection required always in all plants. Additional PPE may be required depending on location or task.
