DataOne Systems is seeking a results-driven Outside Sales Executive to expand our market presence by developing new business opportunities and growing relationships with existing clients. This role will focus on selling DataOne’s turnkey Layer One solutions, including professional services, edge network solutions, outside plant infrastructure, and custom manufacturing products to businesses across diverse industries. Working closely with our Executive Team, Internal Sales Support, and Service Delivery Teams, you will be equipped with a competitive, industry-leading compensation plan while delivering high-value solutions to our clients. As an outside sales role, this position requires spending at least 50% of the time in the field, meeting with potential and existing clients, networking, and closing deals. A self-starter mentality, strong technical acumen, and the ability to operate with minimal oversight are key to success in this role. Key Responsibilities include developing new business and expanding relationships with existing clients by utilizing strategic sales techniques such as cold calling, in-person meetings, industry networking, and referrals; identifying, creating, and managing sales opportunities within DataOne’s Sales Management Platform; gaining a deep understanding of clients' IT infrastructure needs; building and maintaining strategic channel relationships; collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of client projects; staying up to date with industry trends; consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets; and traveling within the assigned sales territory. Qualifications include 3-5+ years of successful B2B sales experience, experience in data center, telecommunications, or IT infrastructure sales, strong understanding of fiber networks and telecom infrastructure, and demonstrated ability to build long-term client relationships. Preferred qualifications include experience selling complex IT infrastructure solutions, working knowledge of leading OEM solutions, and industry certifications or advanced degrees. Skills required include strong consultative sales skills, excellent communication, ability to self-manage, business acumen, high adaptability, and ability to travel frequently. The position offers an industry-leading compensation plan with uncapped commission potential, a collaborative team environment, and opportunities for career advancement. Unique requirements include a minimum of 50% travel within assigned sales territory and attendance at industry events and client engagements as needed.
