Job Description

We have an outstanding Contract position for an Office Cleaner to join a leading Company located in the Sterling, VA surrounding area.

SHIFT: 2ND - 3:30p - 12:00a 

PAY RATE: $14.50 p/h

Job Responsibilities:  

• Follows procedures for keepingassigned areas clean,in anorderly condition, and performs cleaning duties and assignments.
• Complete all Quality Assurance orientation for new employees and annual training, including allergens, hygiene, safety, sanitation, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and good manufacturing practice (GMP) required for the position. 
• Report quality problems to a supervisor immediately. 
• Verify equipmentworks correctly at the beginning, during andend of shift.Report any problems. 
• Follow procedures, including accurately measuring chemicals.
• Follow approved sanitation policies concerning temperature control, cross-contamination, food preparation, and cleanup. 
• Follow all safety policies, including proper use toolsand chemicals.
• Cleaning and sanitation for multiple production lines and non-production areas per the Master Sanitation Schedule withparticular attention to Lock Out/Tag Out requirements. 
• Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and racks/pans, facility floors, bathroom, and other items.
• Collecting/emptying trash, recyclables, and compost into properreceptacle. 
• Tear down, clean andsanitize equipment. 
• Follow all plant Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP), Safety andFood Safety.
• Daily/hourly Cleaning & Sanitizing; Handle immediate sanitation needs. 
• Restock restroom and kitchen supplies as needed. 
• Empty and replace trash liners in all designated areas (restrooms, offices, kitchens, hallways). 
• Respond to cleaning requests from staff and management in a timely, courteous manner. 
• Spot mop spills and perform floor care in high-traffic zones throughout the day. 
• Ensure mats and entry areas remain dry and safe, especially during inclement weather. 

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to follow written directions and verbal instructions in sequential order. 
• Must understand measurements for weight, volume, and temperature. 
• Requires the ability to read, write andcommunicate verbally in English. Ability to communicate in Spanisha plus. 
• Interacts with other employees within the company. Rarely communicates with external vendors, delivery personnel orcustomers. 
• Requires the ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. 
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and report any quality or equipment problems to the supervisor.
