This position involves working closely with young performers to teach songs, build vocal technique, and prepare music for seasonal showcases and musicals. Responsibilities: Teach vocal music to students ages 5–15 in a group setting Accompany rehearsals and performances (piano/keyboard required) Prepare students musically for seasonal performances and showcases Collaborate with directors and choreographers on musical numbers Adjust and arrange music as needed to fit students’ vocal ranges and skill levels Foster a warm, encouraging, and professional rehearsal environment Requirements: Strong piano skills and experience accompanying live musical theater Experience working with children and/or youth in a music or theater setting Knowledge of musical theater repertoire appropriate for ages 5–15 Ability to lead vocal warmups, teach harmonies, and provide individual coaching Bachelor’s degree in music, musical theater, or a related field preferred Availability on afternoons or weekends during the school year and/or summer Reliable transportation to Glen Head, NY Compensation: $40–$50 per hour , commensurate with experience.
