Job Description

Robert Half is actively recruiting for a results-oriented Human Resources (HR) Manager to lead and manage various HR functions, with a primary focus on employee relations. This position is based in the Franklin, WI area. The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic partner to leadership, fostering a positive work environment, strengthening employee engagement, and aligning HR initiatives with business objectives. This position requires strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and leadership skills to enhance organizational culture and drive workforce success.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop and implement proactive strategies to improve workplace culture and employee engagement.
  • Advise supervisors and managers on best practices in conflict resolution, employee retention, and disciplinary actions.

HR Strategy and Compliance:

  • Stay informed about relevant employment laws and ensure organizational compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Partner with leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
  • Handle sensitive employee situations while maintaining confidentiality and fairness.

Recruitment and Retention:

  • Support recruitment efforts by collaborating on job postings, interviews, and onboarding processes.
  • Design retention programs aimed at reducing employee turnover and improving long-term satisfaction.

Performance Management:

  • Oversee performance evaluation processes to ensure feedback and appraisals are meaningful and actionable.
  • Work with managers to identify individual development plans for employees.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on employee relations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant HR software and tools (e.g., HRIS systems).
  • PHR/SPHR certification considered a plus.
