Job Description ***MUST HAVE COMMERCIAL SOLAR EXPERIENCE*** Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems for commercial solar PV installations, including DC, AC, and medium-voltage components. Interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and schematics to ensure correct installation of all electrical equipment. Install and terminate conduit, wire, combiner boxes, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and other electrical equipment. Perform inspections and testing to ensure compliance with NEC, company standards, and safety regulations. Work collaboratively with field teams, foremen, and superintendents to maintain project timelines and quality standards. Follow and enforce all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout, PPE use, and job hazard analysis procedures. Complete daily field reports, material tracking, and time sheets accurately and on time. Train and mentor apprentices and less experienced electricians when needed. Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working order. Travel to project sites throughout California, often staying overnight or for extended durations depending on project scope.
