Job Summary The associate director assists the successful operation of food & nutrition services in an acute care hospital primarily supporting patient services and experience. In this role, you will assist in the responsibility for all food related patient care activities including patient care, quality improvement, sanitation, and infection control. Key Responsibilities: Assists to ensure client and patient satisfaction and efficient cost effective management Leads a team of frontline associates and promotes the professional growth and development of their team Advise and conduct safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs Maintains excellent relationships with patients and the Client, as well as departments within the hospital Fosters strong inter-departmental relations and integrate the food-service department with the facility plan of operations Preferred Qualifications: Three years of direct food service management experience in food and nutrition/dietary services Certified Dietary Manager certificate or Registered Dietitian Bachelors or Associates degree in food service, nutrition, or related field a plus Experience in a hospital or senior living facility depending upon formal degree or training Three to five years of food service operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control Strong knowledge of food trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience is desirable Strong supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills Strong communication skills both written and verbal Excellent financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills Proficient computer skills required to be successful ServSafe Certified Apply to TouchPoint today!
